Simona Miclaus

Simona Miclaus was born in 1967 and received her diploma in engineering physics at the University of Bucharest, Romania, in 1990. Her Ph.D. in physics, with the thesis "Interaction between high frequency electromagnetic fields and biological structures", was received from the same university in 2003. She is a senior lecturer of physics at Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, Romania. Since 1998 she engaged in various research projects in biolelectromagnetics of the radiofrequency band. Her main expertise is in exposimetry and dosimetry of RF fields, but she is also interested in biomedical applications and in interaction mechanisms. She is a member of EBEA since 2005 and MC committee member of COST BM-0704 Action since 2008. At national level, se is founder member and directory council member of the Romanian Society for Protection against Non-Ionising Radiation (SRPRNI) and member of the Romanian Society for EMC (ACERO). She involved in foundation and development of the national network of researchers in biolelectromagnetics and masters the website of this network.
