Mirjana Moser, PhD

Mirjana Moser received here diploma in physics, MSc in dosimetry, and PhD (1983) in high energy physics from the University Zagreb, Croatia. She worked as a scientist in the domains of neutron and mixed field dosimetry and elementary particle physics in different research institutes in Europe (Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb, Catholic University in Louvain la Neuve, CERN in Geneva and Max-Planck-Institute for Physics in Munich). Later on she settled in Switzerland where here work domain shifted towards radiation protection. In the frame of Master of Public Health education she absolved training modules in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. She is currently Head of the Section Nonionizing Radiation and Dosimetry and Deputy Head of the Radiation Protection Division in the Federal Office of Public Health.

Here main research and work interests are different aspects of health risk assessment and risk management, considering ionizing as well as nonionizing radiation. She has been involved in different research projects mainly in the domains of dosimetry, epidemiology and risk management. She is a member of different national and international experts and advisory groups.
